UPDATED INFO TBD:
A dollar a pad, for women in war zones: our latest campaign.

The UN states about 700,000 girls and women in the Gaza Strip are facing a menstrual hygiene emergency, forced to use unsanitary pieces of cloth and other materials to cope with their periods. According to UNICEF, millions of girls in South Sudan, especially in conflict-affected areas have little no no access to menstrual products, which interferes in their ability to attend school. Period stigma is widespread across various countries, like Nepal in South Asia- where many girls are forced to stay the duration of the menstrual cycle in huts as explained and researched by a study by Mukherjee in the National Institutes of Health. Period products are a basic human need- and it's a need that must be answered now.

Our newest fundraiser is dedicated to extending menstrual relief to women and girls suffering from a lack of available supplies in war zones, from areas in the Middle East like Syria and the Gaza Strip to Ukraine in Europe, and regions in Africa like South Sudan and Ethiopia (among countless others). Through this fundraiser, PERsist hopes to directly aid women and girls in these regions- because they deserve the right to take care of themselves.

Each dollar provides a couple of hours of comfort to women and girls living in lands ravaged by violence- and every pad- and every dollar- makes an incredibly significant difference. Please refer to our instagram and website updates to see the impact of your contributions. Thank you. We will post information soon.
